If you’ve found this site via Understanding Cancer you’ve come to the right place!  This is my personal website where I experiment with WordPress and various themes and plugins before doing anything to drastic to Understanding Cancer.  While I am on maternity leave I will be blogging on here if I can find the time, so if you’ve found any interesting links or there’s anything you’d like to know more about just send me an email and I’ll look into it.

Hello and welcome to Understanding Science.  This is a website, aimed at science teachers in the North East of Scotland (Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.)  Over time I hope to build a collection of resources and links that will be useful to secondary school science teachers.

I am a cell biologist, so if you are looking for information on cells, genes, DNA and molecular biology then you’ve come to the right place.  Where possible, the resources will be specific for the Scottish Curriculum, in particular the curriculum for excellence.
